Another cheetah cub was turned over to CCF this week. She was rescued by a farmer who found her on his farm very weak and sick. The farmer turned the cub over to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET), who then let us transfer the cub to CCF headquarters for rehabilitation.
We performed a routine examination and discovered she had a problem in her abdomen. Dr. Laurie Marker and CCF’s veterinary team performed a major surgery on her yesterday and removed a mass from her stomach.
Today she is recovering well, getting lots of rest and even tried a little bit of food.
